We Believe In Ethical Battlefield Relics

We believe that every one of our battlefield relics must be ethically sourced

For decades professional and amateur metal detecting enthusiasts and archaeologists have been unearthing battlefield relics from many countries.

In Europe some come from Western front Battle Sites, and many others will originate from Eastern Front Battle sites. The latter has sadly become associated with 'black digs' where artefacts may be recovered even if coming from a deceased soldier or grave site. We denounce this practice, and source only battlefield artefacts that are not associated with a fallen soldier's grave site.

We not only appreciate and understand the history, but we respect the fallen soldiers and their descendants from both sides of the WW2 battle sites.

Many great artefacts can be obtained without recourse to grave robbing, as in the cut and thrust of large campaigns discarded items end up buried in rubble, left in barns or pockets of bunkers and trench lines without being attached to a fallen soldier.

Many of our best barn finds or veteran bring back items will be in great condition, and not even ground dug relics, but where we do offer ground dug relics we do due diligence to carefully select our providers and sources.

Those who truly appreciate and understand history also respect the fallen from all sides. Where a fallen soldier is found, he and his possessions should be properly interred by the correct authority.
